How to Report Child Abuse or Neglect

Emergencies

In the event of an emergency or immediate danger:
Call 911 or University Police at 309-438-8631.

Non-Emergencies

In the event of a non-emergency:
Call Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) at 1-800-25-ABUSE (1-800-252-2873) as soon as abuse or neglect is suspected.

In addition to reporting to the DCFS, all members of the ISU community must internally report suspected abuse or neglect of a minor to the University Police non-emergency number at 309-438-8631.
